{{Book Review}} Evil Forebodings | Four unlikely people are brought together by mysterious events in their town

Purchase your copy of Evil Forebodings here.

About the Book

[Insert Book Picture Here] Evil Forebodings: Tiffany Rodgers is the kind of danger that she never dreamed could happen to her in the quiet little town of Newville. She is being stalked and having strange visions. The animals even seem different of late, somehow affected by the changes in the air. Officer Allen Lawrence is drawn to Tiffany, but he has reservations. Is she losing her mind, playing games, or are the things that she is seeing more than just evil forebodings?

*My Review*
"Evil Forebodings" by Carol E. Keen is what I would call a supernatural/paranormal suspense with a little romance. I had a really hard time getting into this book.

I didn't want to read past the first chapter because there were several different characters and that had me confused, but I kept reading and I was able to clear the confusion that I had. Keen wrote the book this way so that readers could get to know the characters one on one before the story progressed. if you find yourself faced with the same issue....just keep reading.

Four unlikely people are brought together by mysterious events in their town. Each one of these four people plays a major role in this book as they work to bring an end to the malevolent danger. The question is "will their faith be strong enough or will they all die?"

Honestly, I would have preferred a stronger example of spiritual warfare but that is just me. "Evil Forebodings" is most definitely a novel that will make readers think.

Guest Post from Carol E. Keen

Well, I know it isn’t ladylike or proper to squeak or go “Eeeeeee!” with excitement, but it’s so hard not to do so. I’m past excited to be on this tour with Celebrate Lit! First I have to say, these are wonderful folks who I’m so very blessed to get to work with! Now, today I’m doing happy dances over your being here for the kick off for my book, Evil Forebodings. It’s my second published book and my first full-length fiction novel. This book took eight, yes that is 8, long years to complete. What on Earth could take me that long to write one book? It started with my first event called, NanoWriteMo. In my case, it was NanoWrite-less! Who had the “brilliant” idea to have a huge writing contest smack over Thanksgiving and two major birthdays in our family? It was a disaster. It was as bad as saying a night person like myself has to function at 8:00am and be good at it. I was alone in my endeavor and didn’t get far at all. A few years later, I went back to working on this book. This time, I had a huge emotional backset from an incident that was just traumatic. I was told, in essence, that I wasn’t good enough to write for a career, and that my focus was on all the wrong things in my life. This came from a published author, who really didn’t know me. I was weighed and judged unfairly, and it was devastating. I learned a great deal, though, and pretty much gave up on doing things the way I had been. Forging ahead anyway, my first book, Beauty For Ashes, was published. Then I got to work on Evil Forebodings. This story and its characters have never left me, and I knew I had to finish this book. I’m really pleased with how it turned out, and I hope that you will enjoy it. While I believe all authors put some of themselves into their work, this book had a heavy dose of my heart infused into it in several places. Thank you so much for joining me on this adventure, and please feel free to ask questions! Blessings, Carol 🙂

{{Product Review}} Sanford Bundle: Paper Mate Liquid Paper Correction Tape, Paper Mate Ink Joy Ball point pens & More....#ShopletReviews

It's almost time for school start, so I'm all about getting FREE supplies that can be used for homeschooling(yes, even homeschoolers need school supplies!). That's why I'm SO excited that Shoplet carries an assortment of office supplies, cleaning supplies, medical supplies, office furniture, and pretty much everything but the kitchen sink(who knows...they may even sell that haha)!

This time I have an amazing bundle from Sanford & Shoplet. The bundle includes;

{Photo of the bundle I received}

Where do I start? I guess I'll just start at the top of the list and go down. I don't really do much handwriting things anymore, but there are times when I do have to write papers for school, or letters to my children's school, fill out forms, etc. This Paper Mate Correction tape will be great for the school year. This year my oldest has to write(like hand write) book reports. This liquid paper will save paper from being wasted or having erase marks all over it.

Next is the Paper Mate Ink Joy ball point pens. I don't know about at your house, but here we are ALWAYS in need of pens! It's like they up and walk/run away. I have a hard time keeping pens around. Even when they are in the container on my desk. I am especially excited about these pens, because they aren't your typical blue/black/red ink....nope...the color of the pen is what color the ink is! My daughter won't be able to use anything but the black/blue pen for school, but that's okay...the other colors will be used for things outside of school. I really like these pens because they have ultra smooth ink, no smearing, no smudging...just nice, smooth writing!

{All 8 colors that come in the pack)

My oldest is an artist. She is into drawing cute little manga & chibi critters. These electro pop Sharpie markers are perfect because she likes to draw with fine tip sharpies. Must be nice to be that good at drawing to not need a pencil. lol The Electo Pop Sharpie permanent markers come in 4 pack, & include the following colors; Optic orange, Techno blue, Nano blue, Electric pink, & Ultra violet. I can't wait for her to get home and draw something with them! They are so much fun to use...which is why they are put up from little fingers. I'm sure my little ones would love to make their walls pretty...but that's a no go right now. At least until we are done renting. These markers are limited edition, so hurry up and go buy some!

And last, but not least...we have these Paper Mate "mate" mechanical pencils. I really like these because they are easy to hold, they feel like a regular #2 pencil. You have less breakage with the 1.3mm lead, which is great. I tend to press hard when I write with a pencil..which usually means I break a lot of lead with the regular woodcase pencils & the usual mechanical pencils that we use. There is no need to sharpen these pencils, you just click down on the eraser & boom...you get enough lead to write with. The one thing I DON't like is that there are still a lot of eraser pieces when you erase with them. These pencils erase great, and I would love them even more if they didn't leave as much eraser pieces.

These pencils will be good for my two older girls when they have to take test for school.

{{Prouduct Review}} Return Address Labels | + 25% off Code inside!

Since we homeschool, we don't have a need to name labels for our children's items. So, this time, when I was given a free credit for Labeldaddy.com I decided that since I had gotten labels for myself, my oldest, return address labels with our family name on them, & labels for my husband; I would get my Papa some return address labels. I had called him before ordering them and asked if he could use them & then asked him what design/character he wanted on them. He said to let my two younger girls pick(since my oldest isn't home from her summer "vacation" yet),

My middle daughter(6) said she wanted him to have mickey mouse....so I looked through all of the mickey mouse options & found the one with a football(my papa loves football), so I decided that we would go with those. He has no idea what they look like, but I know he will like them. I'll be shipping them off to him soon, I just needed to post pictures here before I mailed them.

I absolutely LOVE Labeldaddy.com & have never had an issue with ordering anything from them. Their site is super easy to navigate and there are several different packages to choose from. These labels are $19.95 for a pack of 100. I chose to get these laminated for $4.95 more, I always choose this option because it is well worth the small extra fee. They are 1 9/16 x 7/8 in size.

Here is a picture of one of the labels. I didn't see the point in posting all 100 labels. they all look the same and all have the same thing on them. I blacked out his last name and address...for obvious reasons...but you can see mickey mouse going to catch the football.

I've had several people online and in person ask me if I REALLY get items for free...and my answer is always "YES, I do", but this time...I've decided to add a picture of the packing slip to the post just so my readers can see that, yes, I really did get these for free...just like 99% of the other things that I post about.

Again, I've blocked out any personal info for obvious reasons, but here it is...here is the packing slip that came with the labels.

My readers can Save 25% on your entire Label Daddy order! Just use code USFAMILY25 when checking out. http://www.usfamily25.labeldaddy.com

{{Book Review}} Together at the Table | Three months ago, Juliette D’Alisa’s world changed.

In a bittersweet series of events, her mother’s health took a turn for the worse. Juliette and her brother opened their restaurant together to rave reviews, but her romance with Memphis immunologist Neil McLaren ended in anger and tears.

As autumn sweeps into the Pacific Northwest, Juliette feels that she’s finally on the cusp of equilibrium. The restaurant continues to thrive, and her family is closer than ever. She and sous-chef Adrien are seeing each other, both in and out of the kitchen. Just when she thinks her world might stop spinning, a trip to the waterfront lands a familiar face into her path.

Rather than dwell on her personal life, Juliette throws herself into work and research. After reading her grandmother’s letters from war-torn Paris, she still wants to know the full story –  and she’ll travel across countries and oceans to find it.

But even Juliette can’t outrun the man who stole her heart. As she finally uncovers the truth about her family history, what will it mean for her own chances at lasting love?

*My Review*
Together At The Table by Hillary Manton Lodge it the final installment in the "Two Blue Doors" series. I've had the chance to read the other books in this series and I really loved watching Juliette find her way.

this book is a perfect conclusion to a great series!

{{Product Review}} 3M Products(Monitor Stand, Mouse Pad, & Keyboard wrist rest) #Shoplet

Shoplet carries an assortment of Office supplies,Cleaning supplies,Medical supplies, &  Office Furniture and everything in between!

This is my 10th Shoplet review here on my blog! Today I'll be reviewing 3 different products from 3M. An adjustable monitor stand, A mousepad with a gel wrist rest, & A keyboard gel wrist restWhen I received the email to review these items, I had my husband in mind. I know he could use these at work, esp the mouse pad & the keyboard wrist rest.

When the package arrived....well, let's just say I have a new office area setup! x_x it's okay because we all can benefit from these items. I was going to use the monitor stand to put our smaller monitor on, but saw that I don't have the connection for it on my laptop, so that idea is out until I can get an adapter for it. Since I do quite a bit of blogging/emailing & school work for myself, the keyboard wrist rest & the mouse pad will be perfect.

I really like having my laptop on the monitor stand, it makes it easier to me to sit the correct way at a computer and be able to type easily. Once I get the adapter for the monitor I will move things around and be able to have a duel screen, which will be nice. It will also be beneficial for my husband as he sometimes works from home, as well as my 12 yr old when she does her school work on the computer. below you will find another picture of the stand, as well as one showing the different heights, & the pieces of one leg that I took apart(to show in better detail). Each leg has 3 pieces, & those pieces interlock. The bottom has a skid proof bottom, so you'll def know which is the bottom piece.

{Adjustable monitor stand}

This was my first time ever using a gel wrist rest for the keyboard. I have to say, I LOVE IT. As I said above, I do quite a bit of typing a day & this wrist rest is AMAZING. I thought it would take me awhile to get used to it, but surprisingly it didn't! I have actually been able to type better with it. I have even been able to increase my WPM thanks to this wrist rest. below you will see a picture of the wrist rest.

I've been wanting to get a mouse pad for awhile now, but kept forgetting because I was using the mouse on the laptop. Now that we've got the office space set up, we can use the wireless mouse....so, now we NEEDED a mouse pad. I pretty much feel the same way about the mouse pad as I did with the gel keyboard rest. Sometimes I'm doing schoolwork/blogging for hours at a time, but my hand/wrist doesn't hurt since using this mouse pad. The mouse glides very smoothly on the mouse pad. My only complaint is that I don't think the mouse pad part is quite long enough & sometimes I end up going over the end of the mouse pad, but I make it work. Def worth it(It's an excellent quality mouse pad, very sturdy, & heavy!) Below you will find a photo of the mouse pad
